Health, wealth, and happiness don't get given to you, they have to be worked for over a course of a time.
When I was younger , I thought the world revolved around me I believed everything I deserved would automatically come my way , irrespective of weither or not I made an effort to acquire it. I was sure I’d eventually marry a perfect man and live a perfect lifestyle with all the trimming a beautiful house , a good car, designer clothes , financial security and social acceptance . I was also certain I’d land the cooperate job. But as I got older , I realized to my amazement that these things don't come that easily There’s a very big gap between what we assume and what eventually transpires . I realized achieving success , wealth and happiness in life meant being focused , determined and setting goals . Suddenly , I couldn't get the job I wanted , I did not have enough money to buy the things I desired—a wardrobe, house and a car befitting my lifestyle and the perfect husband certainly wasn't proposing to me . It was a rude ,difficult jolt to find I’d simply been expecting were every one else works a lifetime to achieve , and often doest achieve at all . Then I had a spiritual awakening . I looked within myself and drew an inner strength that had lain dormant all these years I placed an invisible mirror In front of me , and saw a selfish, arrogant, pompous girl turning into a grown woman with her values and priorities upside down that was when I realized the world did not give a flaming damn about me,, nor did it owe me anything and if I didn't get on the band wagon , I’d be thrown off into the dust. Accepting all this was a painful experience , but one that was absolutely necessary , and once I’ve got over the shock , I set about righting the wrongs. I decided to do something about my appearance and lose the excess kilos I’d allowed to pile on in complacency [you are addressed the way you dress] then I started job hunting, so I put my pride aside and settled being a manager. Most importantly , I decided to be happy to spread the happiness I had around. Where ever possible . All these didn't happen over night . It took many months to be reincarnated as the woman I'd visualize and at the end of my transformation , I threw a party , everyone thought I was crazy . They kept on asking what was I celebrating and I said ‘my self’. My life changed dramatically . I did get married not to the perfect man but a perfect man enough for me .and I am still working on keeping my own identity and also improving myself. So are you a goal setter or goal getter? Know who you are.
