Faucet is an exposed plumbing fiting, a tap, a regulator for controlling the flow of a liquid from a reservoir.
1. The magic is not in the faucet.
It is what is behind the faucet that gives water.
2. The faucet can be 24 carat gold, but if its not attached to a water supply, it is useless.
3. The magic is not in the faucet, the power comes from what is behind the faucet. Things that are not visible to the human eye but are there nonetheless.
4. If the pump or the plumbing or the reservoir should ever be out of service, the faucet is useless.
It's what is behind the faucet that gives it its power.
God needs us to be faucet!
God can have all the plumbing in place, have the pump hooked up, ready to pour out blessing on His people; but He needs us to be faucet.
John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
The water of God must pass from the reservoir through our faucets before it could bless our generation. How available is your faucet for the task?
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
How good is your well? You must place a high value on your faucet (the words of your mouth.)
Proverbs 18:4 The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.
Never let your faucet be a cheap material. Place a high premium on it. Cheap faucets are too loose. No break no jam. Choiced water of life does not pass through cheap faucet.
Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
If your faucet is faulty water of life shall find difficulty to pass freely through it. Its control must work properly before the water will not be a waste.
Proverbs 18:4 The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.
How well do you work on your faucet?
Proverbs 10:11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
Our faucet must be in a good condition before God's water could be released from His reservoir to refresh mankind. He would ensure there is no fault or leakage before releasing His water.
This is because the God we are serving does not tolerate waste. He cannot allow it.
2 Kings 4:6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
The oil has to stay because it must not waste.
Your faucet is a fountain. See how God sees it in James chapter three.
James 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. 3:3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. 3:4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 3:7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 3:9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 3:11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Guide and control your faucet jealously.
Through carelessness many has lost grace, power and the anointing that could has made them stand out in life and ministry.
PRAYER:
1. My prayer is that we shall not dissociate ourselves from our source in Jesus name.
2. We shall not misuse our faucet in Jesus name.
3. We shall never be careless with it.
4. Our enemies shall not play on our ignorance to use our faucet contrary to the will of our maker in Jesus name.
Remain blessed.
